signal recovered / solana artifact world

Trace

A finite world of living pixel fragments. They age, break, stabilize, and assemble through collector decisions.

collector role

You are not holding an image.

You are caring for an object with a lifespan. The first goal is simple: find the missing forms and assemble an artifact. The harder question is when to stop waiting.

01

hold

let time move through the fragment

02

evolve

watch the room become older, stranger, less certain

03

freeze

choose the version that should survive

04

merge

sacrifice four futures for one permanent artifact

archive memory

The final world is a record of what happened.

Merge does not erase the fragments. Freeze does not erase the future it sacrificed. Corruption does not become a stat. The archive keeps the trace.

  1. fragment found with unknown potential
  2. first evolution recorded
  3. corruption scar preserved
  4. collector froze the state
  5. four source histories assembled

World stability

New waves unlock when the world stabilizes.

Stability combines wave mint progress with roughly a week of collector activity. Merges push hardest, freezes preserve state, evolutions move the world forward, and corruption resists the reveal.

FAQ

Short answers before the deeper systems.

Open mechanics
What is Trace?

A finite Solana world of living pixel fragments. They can evolve, corrupt, freeze, and assemble into permanent artifacts.

What am I trying to do first?

Find four forms: top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right. Together they can become one assembled artifact.

Why not merge immediately?

Because active fragments may still have potential. Waiting can create a richer history, but it can also create damage or loss.

What does freeze mean?

Freeze is preservation. It stops evolution forever and says: this state matters enough to keep.

Is corruption good or bad?

Neither by default. Corruption is an irreversible incident. It can become a scar, a warning, a rarity, or a reason someone remembers the object.

Does the site sell NFTs?

No. The site is an archive and action layer. Trading belongs on Solana marketplaces; meaning belongs here.
